With two EPs under their belt including their most recent “Courir après sa queue” (2020) unanimously praised among experts in the Quebec punk scene and played in several radio stations across the province where you might have heard songs like “Doggo” and “Prescription de verres”. Thick Glasses announce the imminent release of their first full-length album “L’échec héroïque”, scheduled for April 8th, 2022.

“L’échec héroïque” is a visceral and dynamic project where punk rock, emo, alternative rock and melodic hardcore universes collide in an uninhibited way. Borrowing the expression from the comedian and author Fred Dubé, “L’échec héroïque” (Heroic failure) is the celebration of all our most embarrassing moments, of all the days when we felt guilty and anxious about the idea of ​​not participating in the great masquerade of our performative society. It's a reflection about all the times we told ourselves that we were not up to the task and that we were losing in the game of life, and especially for all those moments when our most mundane gestures ultimately turned out to be our greatest accomplishments.
